If you recall, over the holiday weekend, the 60-year-old actress who played Princess Leia in “Star Wars” became ill. Carrie Fisher suffered a massive heart attack during a weekend flight from London to Los Angeles. It was said that she stopped breathing for 10 – 15 minutes while an EMT on board performed respiratory treatment to revive Fisher. Fisher was immediately transported to a hospital from Los Angeles International Airport.
LAFD Spokesman Erik Scott told CNN:
“LAFD responded to LAX Gate 74 for patient on inbound flight in cardiac arrest. Paramedics standing by upon arrival provided advanced life support and aggressively treated and transported patient to local hospital.”
Comedian Brad Gage, who was aboard the same flight took to Twitter to express their concerns:
“I sat in front of Carrie Fisher on our flight from London and she was just taken off the plane by EMTs.”
