CelebNHealth247.com has learned that Marilyn Manson was injured after two giant pistol replicas collapsed on top of him during a performance Saturday night.
Marilyn Manson was forced to cut the show short as he was rushed to the hospital. Manson was crushed by the two giant pistol replicas. What we are hearing is they fell forward during his performance of The Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These).”
After the prop was lifted from Manson, he was still, just lying on the ground for several minutes. Later a rep for Marilyn gave the Rolling Stone a vague update stating:
“Manson suffered an injury towards the end of his incredible NYC show. He is being treated at a local hospital.”
The details of his injuries are still unknown, but many have said that he hurt his leg.
The Guardian spoke to Yousif Al Zaid, a 23-year-old fan who attended the show:
“It happened in the middle of his song Sweet Dreams. He performed it and all of a sudden he climbed on to the two guns … At end of the song he bent over holding one of the poles [on the prop] and tipped over. Then it all went silent and you could hear a pin drop. Everyone rushed to him and there were rumors he was dead. Then they brought out a stretcher and he was taken away.”
“On my Twitter feed today people are saying he has only broken his leg or fractured his ankle, but there’s no official news yet. It’s crazy actually – when he fell they closed the curtain on the stage and dimmed the lights. They then escorted everyone out.”
Here is a video from one fan who was able to capture video of the incident:
