CelebNHealth247.com has the latest on the 26-year-old singer who underwent vocal cord surgery after being hospitalized for tonsillitis last month.
Doctors discovered a separate issue with her vocal cords during her hospital stay, informing the “Wrecking Ball” singer that she would need surgery by the end of the year, followed by “several weeks of silence” while in recovery.
On Friday, the “Mother’s Daughter” singer’s boyfriend, Cody Simpson, seemingly referenced the surgery when he shared a photo of the couple alongside the word “success.”
Simpson helped Cyrus through her last illness, cuddling up to her in her hospital bed while singing to her.
Miley Cyrus captioned a photo of Simpson playing guitar beside her at the time writing:
The DR. is back …. luckiest.
Since then, a source close to the star said she is “doing great and will be back and better than ever early next year.”
Boyfriend Cody Simpson posted a photo with his latest love that appeared to make reference to the surgery, captioning the pic “success.”
Back in October, Miley posted a series of photos that showed her in a hospital gown. Cyrus shared how she was trying to heal before this weekend’s Gorillapalooza, a charity show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres’ The Ellen Fund. The event aims to help raise money for global conservation efforts.
She wrote at the time:
Trying to heal as quick as I can to make it to Gorillapalooza w @TheEllenShow @PortiaDeRossi @BrunoMars this weekend!” Cyrus captioned one of the selfies, which showed an IV in her arm. “Send gooooood vibes my way! Hoping the Rock star G*DS send me a boost of badass and help me kick this s— to the curb where it belongs! We got gorillas to save!
