Romee Strijd is one of the newest to join the elite ranks of Victoria’s Secret Angels. But the 21-year-old Dutch model is spilling the tea on her Victoria’s Secret diet and workout tips that got her there.

CelebNHealth247.com has the latest on Victoria’s Secret Angel Romee Strijd, who says staying in shape is all about finding the perfect balance for a health-conscious lifestyle.

You wouldn’t expect this, but Romee Strijd admits that she’s a “foodie.” She loves cooking and eating, but she also loves to have “fun meals” with friends and she’s been known to whip up gourmet dishes even with her constantly changing schedule and crazy work hours.

She recently spoke with Glamour:

“I think the most important thing for women on-the-go is to be prepared. I really like to prepare my day the night before if I know the next day is going to be hectic. Brussels sprouts and butternut roasted in the oven, paired with chicken and hummus is my favorite. I’ll also make sure to bring healthy snacks or make a lunch/dinner box if I am getting on a plane. I’m not a huge fan of airline food.”

Romee Strijd stays healthy with her eating. For a quick snack she’ll make a healthy banana bread slice it up and store it in the fridge, she explains:

“I always throw one slice in my bag on the way out.” 

Her job as a Victoria’s Secret swimsuit model requires her to be in tip-top shape.

Romee says:

“I like to do a mix of weight training/cardio and something that lengthens your muscles, like Pilates, yoga, or barre. My favorite cardio workout is definitely boxing. When I am traveling, I like to pack a jump rope and ankle weights in my suitcase.”

Like all of us, getting in the gym is half the struggle so her solution is to get a workout buddy (or two) like Victoria’s Secret model Jasmine Tookes.

Romee advises:

 

“Sometimes, when I don’t feel like working out, she’ll push me to go, and the same can be said the other way around. It also helps to plan a fun breakfast or lunch after a workout as something to look forward to.”

When in doubt while dining out, she says pick the greenest thing on the menu. The willowy 5-foot, 11-inch tall model says, add a boiled egg to your breakfast for an extra jolt of protein.

“Do what makes you happy. I think the most attractive thing to see is a woman who is happy. For me, I feel happy and healthy when I am cooking for friends and family and enjoy a long dinner with nice conversations.”

She debuted for Victoria’s Secret in 2014 and was named an Angel the following year. The DNA Model Management Victoria’s Secret Angel has also appeared in fashion spreads for European editions of Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire and Madame Figaro magazines.
