After news broke that Steven Tyler suffered a heart attack, the lead singer went on record to say his heart is NOT broken. Read on…
Just days after the reports surfaced, Steven Tyler posted an update on the band’s official site addressing speculation that he suffered a heart attack.
Last month the band was forced to cancel the remaining four dates of its South American leg of the Aero-Vederci tour due to frontman Tyler’s “unexpected medical issues.”
At the time, Tyler said it was not “a life threatening condition.”
Since then, Tyler, 69, vaguely updated fans about his situation:
“IT BREAKS MY HEART TO HAVE LEFT THIS TOUR EARLY…THE BAND HAS NEVER PLAYED BETTER…JUST WATCH THE 100,000 PEOPLE AT ROCK IN RIO…I GIVE YOU ALL AN A+ FOR CREATIVE SPECULATIONS BUT I CERTAINLY DID NOT HAVE A HEART ATTACK OR A SEIZURE ((UNLESS JOE PERRY IS TAKIN’ A RIPPIN’ LEAD))…SORRY TO HAVE CUT THE TOUR SHORT BUT I HAD TO HAVE A PROCEDURE THAT ONLY MY DOC IN THE STATES COULD PERFORM…WE’VE BEEN TO TEL AVIV… TO RUSSIA… TO RIO… AND ALL THE IN BETWEEN…I GUESS IT’S TRUE WHAT THEY SAY …”THAT LIFE’S A PISSER WHEN EU’RE A PEEIN’….” -Steven Tyler”
Last year Aerosmith had announced they were doing their “farewell” tour. Then they took a break and began again in late spring for their Europe and South American legs of their goodbye tour.
We just hope that Steven stays healthy. We don’t want to lose him like we lost Tom Petty this week.
