Swedish DJ Avicii Dead at 28

Shocking news has struck the EDM community as Artist, DJ and producer Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii has died.

Avicii was found dead on Friday afternoon in Oman. Read on for the details…

Swedish DJ Avicii Dead at 28CelebNHealth247.com has learned via Avicii’s rep who released the following statement upon his passing.

Avicii, 28, rep released the following statement:

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the loss of Tim Bergling, also known as Avicii.

The rep continued to say in the statement:

He was found dead in Muscat, Oman this Friday afternoon local time, April 20th. The family is devastated and we ask everyone to please respect their need for privacy in this difficult time. No further statements will be given.

If you recall, Avicii retired from live performing in 2016, citing health reasons. Apparently, Tim had suffered from health problems for several years, including acute pancreatitis, in part due to excessive drinking. He had his gallbladder and appendix removed in 2014.

Over the past year, he seemed to have a renewed outlook on life and just remained in “studio mode” so his music will live on beyond his life.
It was like he had been readying himself, just in case his life ended early on. Unfortunately it did.

His final post on Instagram came on April 4, 2018 which reads:

??It’s always sunny in California??

In January, he traveled to fulfill his list of places to see:

I recommend everyone to put Table Mountain on their bucket list and be amongst clouds ??? #tablemountain

Here is the view from Table Mountain. Avicii writes:

Cape town from Table Mountain ??

Over the last year, Avicii apparently knew, so he spent his time with family, friends, making music; spending lots of time outdoors camping and traveling to the places he wanted to see before leaving.

Last year Avicii released this statement on his website:

WE ALL REACH A POINT IN OUR LIVES AND CAREERS WHERE WE UNDERSTAND WHAT MATTERS THE MOST TO US.
For me it’s creating music. That is what I live for, what I feel I was born to do.
Last year I quit performing live, and many of you thought that was it. But the end of live never meant the end of Avicii or my music. Instead, I went back to the place where it all made sense – the studio.
The next stage will be all about my love of making music to you guys. It is the beginning of something new.
Hope you´ll enjoy it as much as I do.
