CelebNHealth247.com has the details on the founding member of the Eagles passing…
The Eagles were a HUGE part of all our lives and CelebNHealth247.com is sad to report Glenn Frey has passed away.
According to the band’s official website:
“Glenn fought a courageous battle for the past several weeks but, sadly, succumbed to complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia.“
Frey had been suffering from intestinal issues, which caused the postponement of the band’s inclusion in the 2015 Kennedy Center Honors.
In the early 1970s, Frey and the other original members of the Eagles — Don Henley, Randy Meisner and Bernie Leadon — came together to form singer Linda Ronstadt’s backup band.
From there its was a magical beginning for the 4 OG members who forged a laid-back, country-tinged sound that the Eagles would eventually make famous.
On Monday, Don Henley said in a statement:
“We are all in a state of shock, disbelief and profound sorrow.”
“I’m not sure I believe in fate, but I know that crossing paths with Glenn Lewis Frey in 1970 changed my life forever, and it eventually had an impact on the lives of millions of other people all over the planet.”
“It will be very strange going forward in a world without him in it.”
“But, I will be grateful, every day, that he was in my life. Rest in peace, my brother. You did what you set out to do, and then some.”
We have already lost three great artists who contributed a fabric to the ongoing music industry. Natalie Cole who had a unforgetable voice that was burned into our memory. Â David Bowie, who not only started a fashion forward music sense, he defined a genre of music and enlightened many people to be in touch with themselves. Bowie was a pioneer. And now Glenn Frey, who created a sound, a movement and a way of living, enjoying and loving life through music as one of The Eagles.
We love them all and our prayers go out to Frey’s friends and family.
