Since Austin Powers made Verne Troyer a huge celebrity while the franchise was running, he was on top of the world. After that ended, it’s been down hill since.

Over the past years, Verne Troyer, has dealt with alcohol abuse issues, returned to the hospital after admitting that he was still dealing with the addiction.

This is not the first time that he has been treated for this. Back in 2002, Troyer almost lost his life from alcohol poisoning. However, Verne is assuring everyone that by the end of this week he’ll be checking into a rehab center for help.

We hope that he gets the help that he needs this time. He gave a shout-out to fans, saying:

“With your support, I got this.”

We hope those aren’t his last words.

According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, in the United States alone, of the people who are at least 18 years or older, 86.4 percent of them have reported that they have had a drink at least once in their lifetime.

While that may seem normal, the legal age to drink everywhere in the US is 21, which makes that percent a little shocking. But digging deeper, millions of people struggle with abusing alcoholic substances.

If you or someone you know is dealing with any form of addiction, reach out and help them turn their life around.

Get well soon.
