Dave Coulier, the beloved “Full House” star, is sharing one of the most challenging chapters of his life with honesty, humor, and gratitude. During a heartfelt appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” Coulier revealed that he is officially in remission after battling two separate cancers over the past year and a half.
“I feel great today. I’m here to announce that I’m in remission from both of the cancers,” he told Clarkson, as the audience erupted in applause.
Clarkson, visibly moved, called the news “a blessing,” echoing the relief of fans around the world.
A Roller Coaster Year of Treatment and Recovery

“My crazy brother, John Stamos, decided that when I was going through chemotherapy and lost all my hair… he would put on a bald cap and walk around,” Coulier recalled.
The gesture turned a scary, lonely moment into one filled with laughter, reminding Coulier that he was not alone.
“He really has the biggest heart in the world, and we laughed. I’m gonna laugh my way through this. And it really is the best medicine.”

Coulier’s journey wasn’t just emotionally taxing—it was physically grueling. First, he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, undergoing seven months of chemotherapy. Just when he thought he was cancer-free, a routine follow-up revealed carcinoma at the base of his tongue, requiring 35 rounds of radiation.
“It was a double gut punch,” he said, recalling the unexpected second diagnosis.
Clarkson noted the toll cancer takes not just on the patient, but on families and caregivers, a sentiment Coulier wholeheartedly agreed with.

“We’re brothers,” he said about Stamos. “He really has the biggest heart in the world, and we laughed. I’m gonna laugh my way through this. And it really is the best medicine.”
