Get the details on Red Hot Chili Peppers lead singer Anthony Kiedis on the flip…

Anthony Kiedis reports that Anthony Kiedis was hospitalized yesterday just moments before the band were set to perform at KROQ’s Weenie Roast festival on Saturday night.

Red Hot Chili Peppers bass player Flea walked out on stage to announce that Anthony would not be able to perform the show as seen below.

While singer Anthony Kiedis, 53, was heading to the hospital, Flea told the crowd:

“We are devastated about it…We live to rock … but unfortunately there’s a medical thing that happened and he needed to deal with it.”

Here is another audience-captured footage of Flea addressing the crowd at the KROQ Weenie Roast last night:

According to reports, Anthony was having stomach issues, and decided he wouldn’t be able to play. We’re told he left the venue in a Sprinter van.  Meanwhile, members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers took the stage for a sold-out show Saturday night, but the band didn’t play a single note.

What does this mean for future Red Hot Chili Peppers performance dates?

We are unsure at this time, The Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to headline BottleRock Napa on Sunday May 29, 2016. The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ next appearance is scheduled for Tuesday, May 17 for a special show as part of the AT&T LIVE series at the iHeartRadio Theater in Burbank, California.

We wish Anthony a very speedy recovery and will keep you updated on his developing story…
