CelebNHealth247.com has learned that Eddie Money got the dire news late last year, during a regularly scheduled checkup with his doctor.

The 70-year-old Eddie Money, whose real name is Edward Mahoney, learned the cancer started in his esophagus.  Sadly, it spread to other parts of his body, his liver and lymph nodes. Eddie is determined to keep his loved ones in the loop as he deals with the diagnosis.

Money’s comments appear in a video released Saturday from his AXS TV reality series “Real Money.” The full episode airs Sept. 12.

According to sources connected to the show:

The “Take Me Home Tonight” singer makes the stunning revelation during season 2 of his reality show, “Real Money.”

We’re told Eddie didn’t take a break from shooting his family’s show after getting the news.

In the video, Money says he discovered he had cancer after what he thought was a routine checkup.

Money had numerous health problems recently including heart valve surgery earlier this year and pneumonia after the procedure, leading to his cancellation of a planned summer tour according to CBSNews.

Eddie’ family announced in July that he is recovering from treatments.

They released this statement:

Hey everyone – the Money family wanted to give a quick update. Eddie is recovering and doing well, but has decided to postpone all tour dates and the album release. While it was a very hard decision to make, focusing on Eddie’s health is the most important thing to the family at the moment.
Eddie can’t wait to get back out there on stage and share new music with you! Thank you all for your love and support, it means the world.

All the best,

The $ Family

We wish Eddie the best and to a speedy recovery. Eddie Needs to look into Protandim, it helps shink tumors and cancer, it all helps with the side effects of Chemo treatments, and we know this due to close friends and relatives taking it.
